Connect ChatGPT

ChatGPT connects to Otto as a custom plugin. You sign in to Otto once and pick the company. Then you ask ChatGPT about your chat like about anything else.

What you need

• A paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. Custom plugins are not available on the free plan.
• Otto on the Business or Custom plan.
• An Otto account of the company owner or a colleague with the settings permission. You sign in with it while connecting.

Steps

1. Open the settings. In ChatGPT click your account in the bottom left and choose Settings.
2. Go to plugins. Open Plugins and click Browse plugins.
3. Add Otto. Click + next to the search box and fill in:
   • Name: Otto
   • Connection: keep Server URL
   • URL: https://mcp.ottoai.eu
   • Authentication: OAuth
   Tick I understand and want to continue and click Create.
4. Sign in to Otto. ChatGPT opens the Otto sign-in. Sign in, pick the company, tick Also change if the assistant should change things too, and click Allow.
5. Check the connection. In a new chat write: “List the colleagues on my Otto team.” When ChatGPT replies with your team, the connection works.

When something doesn’t work

• Another company or account got connected. The sign-in uses the account you are signed in with in the browser. Disconnect the assistant in the Otto panel (Settings, Connections, MCP card), sign in with the right account in the browser and connect it again.
• ChatGPT declines a request. Its own checks sometimes stop a request before it reaches Otto. Ask in other words.
• The assistant changes nothing. You did not tick Also change at sign-in. Disconnect it and connect again.
• You don’t see the plugin on Business or Enterprise. The workspace admin allows custom plugins.
• The sign-in says MCP is not in your plan. MCP is in the Business and Custom plans. Change the plan in the panel under Usage and plan.
