How to add the Otto chat to BiznisWeb with an HTML code block, which privacy classification lets it start and where to find the product feed.

BiznisWeb is a Slovak system for building websites and online stores, known in the Czech Republic as ByznysWeb. You paste the chat code into an HTML code block in the page footer and show the block on every page, which takes about 5 minutes. The steps give the Slovak admin names with their meaning in brackets, and ByznysWeb uses the Czech equivalents.

What you need

  • An Otto account. You find the chat code in the panel under Overview, on the Installation & integrations card, on the BiznisWeb tile. It is under the More platforms tile, and you can also search for it.
  • A paid package. The BiznisWeb price list shows the HTML editor and comparison site support for the Mini, Start-up, Biznis and Premium packages, not for Free.

Chat code

On the BiznisWeb tile, click Copy code. You get one line with your company’s public key:

The sample shows pk_vas_kluc instead of a key, the tile gives you the code with your own key. The key is not a password, you do not need to hide it. Add the code once, it covers the whole site.

Adding the code

  1. On any page of your site add a new block and pick HTML kód (HTML code) under Rozšírené (Advanced).
  2. Set Oblasť (Area) to Päta stránky (Page footer) and save.
  3. Open the block and paste the chat code into the Upraviť HTML kód (Edit HTML code) window.
  4. On the Nastavenie bloku (Block settings) tab, in the Globálny blok (Global block) row, tick Zobraziť blok na všetkých stránkach (Show block on all pages).
  5. Set Klasifikácia súkromia (Privacy classification) to Bežný - bez obmedzenia (Regular, no restriction) and save the block.
With any other privacy classification the chat does not show. With neurčené (unspecified) BiznisWeb always blocks the scripts in the block, and with the others it starts them only after cookie consent and without the attribute that holds the key.

Checking it works

  1. Open your website in a new browser window and reload. A chat bubble should pop up in the bottom right.
  2. Send the chat a test question. Otto answers within a few seconds.
  3. In the panel, under Settings, Connections, the Your website row shows the domain the chat runs on.

Product catalogue

Turn the feed on in Nastavenia (Settings), Produktové porovnávače (Product comparison sites): tick a comparison site, for example Heureka, Google nákupy or Zboží.cz, and save. The Ukázať URL zdroja (Show source URL) button shows the feed address. The feed refreshes once every 24 hours at night, and after you turn it on it is first created within 24 hours.

Paste the feed address in the panel under Settings, Catalogue, and click Check feed. The panel tells you how many products it found, and Otto keeps the feed up to date on its own. More in Product catalogue.

Troubleshooting

The block is on every page, but the chat does not show

Check Klasifikácia súkromia on the Nastavenie bloku tab. With neurčené BiznisWeb always blocks the scripts in the block, so set Bežný - bez obmedzenia.

The chat does not show on phones

If your site uses a separate mobile template, the content of HTML code blocks is hidden there. On the Nastavenie bloku tab add mobile-on to the class field and save.

The chat is only on one page

The block is not global. On the Nastavenie bloku tab, in the Globálny blok row, tick Zobraziť blok na všetkých stránkach and save.

Also check

  • Reload the page without cache with Ctrl+F5, or open it in a private window.
  • The code should be on the page only once, a second copy is ignored.
  • A cookie consent bar can block scripts until the visitor agrees. If the chat only shows up after consent, see Cookie consent.
  • If your site sends a Content-Security-Policy header, allow https://ottoai.sk in it, as shown in Content-Security-Policy.
  • In the browser console (F12), look for messages starting with [Otto]. They tell you what the chat is missing.

Removing the chat

Delete the HTML code block with the chat code, or remove the line with widget.js from it and save the block.
