Weby24
How to add the Otto chat to a Weby24 store through Google Tag Manager, where to find the product feed, and what to do when the chat does not show.
On this page
Weby24 is a Czech platform for renting online stores and websites. Weby24 documents no field for custom code, so you add the chat through Google Tag Manager, which Weby24 can connect. It takes about 15 minutes.
What you need
- An Otto account. You find the chat code in the panel under Overview, on the Installation & integrations card, on the Weby24 tile. It is under the More platforms tile, and you can also search for it.
- A Google Tag Manager account with a container for your site. You can create one at tagmanager.google.com.
- Access to the admin of your Weby24 store.
Chat code
Google Tag Manager drops data- attributes from the tags it adds, so the chat would not know its key. That is why the Weby24 tile gives you a short loader that starts the chat with its key. Click Copy code:
<script>(function(){var s=document.createElement('script');s.src='https://ottoai.sk/widget.js';s.async=true;s.setAttribute('data-otto-key','pk_vas_kluc');(document.head||document.documentElement).appendChild(s);})();</script>pk_vas_kluc instead of a key, the tile gives you the code with your own key. The key is not a password, you do not need to hide it. Add the code once, it covers the whole site.Adding the code
- In Google Tag Manager, copy the container ID in the form
GTM-XXXXXXX. - In the Weby24 admin, open Napojení na ext. služby (external services), paste the ID into the Google tag Manager field next to google.com and save.
- In Tag Manager, click Tags and New, then Tag Configuration, and choose Custom HTML.
- Paste the chat code from the Weby24 tile, choose All Pages as the trigger and save the tag.
- Click Submit and then Publish.
The code on the Weby24 tile is a small loader made for Tag Manager, which strips data- attributes from the usual code. Paste it unchanged.
You can also follow the official Weby24 help.
Email for support
Is support, an agency or a developer adding the code for you? Send them this email and paste the chat code from the tile below it.
Hello,
our online store runs on Weby24. Please add the attached Otto chat code to every page of the store, before the </body> tag.
Thank you.Checking it works
- Open your website in a new browser window and reload. A chat bubble should pop up in the bottom right.
- Send the chat a test question. Otto answers within a few seconds.
- In the panel, under Settings, Connections, the Your website row shows the domain the chat runs on.
Product catalogue
You find the feed for Heureka, Zboží and Google in the left column of the admin under E-shop, XML exporty (XML exports). Mark the feed you want to use as active. Its file is on your store domain.
Paste the feed address in the panel under Settings, Catalogue, and click Check feed. The panel tells you how many products it found, and Otto keeps the feed up to date on its own. More in Product catalogue.
Troubleshooting
The tag is saved but the chat does not show
The container is not published yet. Click Submit and Publish in Tag Manager, and check that the Google tag Manager field in Weby24 holds the ID of the same container.
Tag Manager has the usual chat code and it does not work
Tag Manager stripped the attribute with your key from it. Replace it with the code from the Weby24 tile, which is made for Tag Manager.
Otto does not load the feed
Check that the feed is marked as active in XML exporty, and paste the address of the Heureka or Google feed into Otto.
Also check
- Reload the page without cache with Ctrl+F5, or open it in a private window.
- The code should be on the page only once, a second copy is ignored.
- A cookie consent bar can block scripts until the visitor agrees. If the chat only shows up after consent, see Cookie consent.
- If your site sends a Content-Security-Policy header, allow
https://ottoai.skin it, as shown in Content-Security-Policy. - In the browser console (F12), look for messages starting with
[Otto]. They tell you what the chat is missing. - Still nothing? Write to us at podpora@ottoai.sk and include your website address.
Removing the chat
In Google Tag Manager, delete the tag with the chat code and publish the container again (Submit, Publish).
