Where to add the Otto chat code in a Rocketoo store, what to watch out for, and where to find the feed for Zboží.cz.

Rocketoo is a Czech system for renting online stores. You add the chat code to the custom HTML in the appearance settings, which takes about 5 minutes.

What you need

  • An Otto account. You find the chat code in the panel under Overview, on the Installation & integrations card, on the Rocketoo tile. It is under the More platforms tile, and you can also search for it.
  • Store administrator access to the admin. According to the Rocketoo price list, custom HTML is part of every plan.

Chat code

On the Rocketoo tile, click Copy code. You get one line with your company’s public key:

The sample shows pk_vas_kluc instead of a key, the tile gives you the code with your own key. The key is not a password, you do not need to hide it. Add the code once, it covers the whole site.

Adding the code

  1. In the admin, open Nastavení, Vzhled, Vlastní HTML a CSS (Settings, Appearance, Custom HTML and CSS).
  2. On the HTML kód tab, paste the chat code into the Zápatí (před koncovým tagem BODY) part, which is the footer before the closing BODY tag.
  3. Save the settings.
Rocketoo recommends that only experienced users change these fields, as a faulty script can affect how the store works. Paste the code exactly as you copied it.

Checking it works

  1. Open your website in a new browser window and reload. A chat bubble should pop up in the bottom right.
  2. Send the chat a test question. Otto answers within a few seconds.
  3. In the panel, under Settings, Connections, the Your website row shows the domain the chat runs on.

Product catalogue

The Zboží.cz feed comes from the Zboží.cz extension, which you first install in Správce rozšíření (extension manager). You find the address in Nastavení, Rozšíření, Seznam.cz, Zboží.cz, in the XML feed part. Extensions for Heureka and Google Merchant are in the extension manager under Vyhledávače zboží.

Paste the feed address in the panel under Settings, Catalogue, and click Check feed. The panel tells you how many products it found, and Otto keeps the feed up to date on its own. More in Product catalogue.

Troubleshooting

I pasted the code into the Dokončená objednávka part

That part only applies to the thank-you page after an order. Move the code to Zápatí (před koncovým tagem BODY) so the chat is on every page.

The code is in both Záhlaví and Zápatí

Keep it in one part only. The chat works from either, and the second copy of the code is ignored.

The store is in maintenance mode

Visitors who are not logged in to the admin see only an information page in maintenance mode, and the chat may not be on it. Check the chat after you turn maintenance mode off.

Also check

  • Reload the page without cache with Ctrl+F5, or open it in a private window.
  • The code should be on the page only once, a second copy is ignored.
  • A cookie consent bar can block scripts until the visitor agrees. If the chat only shows up after consent, see Cookie consent.
  • If your site sends a Content-Security-Policy header, allow https://ottoai.sk in it, as shown in Content-Security-Policy.
  • In the browser console (F12), look for messages starting with [Otto]. They tell you what the chat is missing.

Removing the chat

In Nastavení, Vzhled, Vlastní HTML a CSS, delete the chat code from the Zápatí part and save the settings.
