eBRÁNA

How to get the Otto chat onto an eBRÁNA website or store through eBRÁNA support or Google Tag Manager, and where the product feeds are.

On this page

eBRÁNA is an agency from Pardubice that builds and runs websites on its KOLIBŘÍK system and online stores on its own platform. The admin has no field for custom code. You add the chat yourself through Google Tag Manager, or eBRÁNA support adds it for you. It takes about 5 minutes.

What you need

  • An Otto account. You find the chat code in the panel under Overview, on the Installation & integrations card, on the eBRÁNA tile. It is under the More platforms tile, and you can also search for it.
  • For the Tag Manager route, a Google Tag Manager account and access to the store or website admin.
  • eBRÁNA support contact: podpora@ebrana.cz or +420 460 000 270 on working days from 8:00 to 16:30.

Chat code

Google Tag Manager drops data- attributes from the tags it adds, so the chat would not know its key. That is why the eBRÁNA tile gives you a short loader that starts the chat with its key. Click Copy code:

<script>(function(){var s=document.createElement('script');s.src='https://ottoai.sk/widget.js';s.async=true;s.setAttribute('data-otto-key','pk_vas_kluc');(document.head||document.documentElement).appendChild(s);})();</script>
The sample shows pk_vas_kluc instead of a key, the tile gives you the code with your own key. The key is not a password, you do not need to hide it. Add the code once, it covers the whole site.

Adding the code

Through Google Tag Manager

  1. In the store admin, open Nastavení, Propojení (Settings, Connections) and the Google tab. On a KOLIBŘÍK website, it is the Měřící kódy tab in the website settings. Check that the Google Tag Manager container ID (GTM-…) is filled in, or add it.
  2. In Google Tag Manager, add a Custom HTML tag and paste the chat code from the eBRÁNA tile into it.
  3. Choose the All Pages trigger and save the tag.
  4. Click Submit and publish the changes with Publish.

Through eBRÁNA support

  1. Send the chat code to podpora@ebrana.cz and ask them to add it to every page of the website. You find a ready-made email on this page.
  2. Once support confirms it is in place, open your website and reload the page.

You can also follow the official eBRÁNA help.

Email for support

Is support, an agency or a developer adding the code for you? Send them this email and paste the chat code from the tile below it.

Hello,

please add the attached Otto chat code to every page of our website before </body>.

Thank you.

Checking it works

  1. Open your website in a new browser window and reload. A chat bubble should pop up in the bottom right.
  2. Send the chat a test question. Otto answers within a few seconds.
  3. In the panel, under Settings, Connections, the Your website row shows the domain the chat runs on.

Product catalogue

Feeds for Heureka, Zboží and Google Shopping are in Marketing, XML feedy. The Heureka feed is at /editor/filestore/io_folder/heureka.xml on your domain, with zbozi.xml for Zboží and google.xml for Google in the same folder.

Paste the feed address in the panel under Settings, Catalogue, and click Check feed. The panel tells you how many products it found, and Otto keeps the feed up to date on its own. More in Product catalogue.

Troubleshooting

The chat does not show even after publishing the container

Check that the tag holds the code from the eBRÁNA tile (a short loader), not the usual line with data-otto-key. Tag Manager drops the key attribute from the usual line.

The chat appears only after cookie consent

If the chat runs through Google Tag Manager, check whether the chat tag has Require additional consent for tag to fire set in its consent settings. If it does, it fires only after the visitor agrees.

Also check

  • Reload the page without cache with Ctrl+F5, or open it in a private window.
  • The code should be on the page only once, a second copy is ignored.
  • A cookie consent bar can block scripts until the visitor agrees. If the chat only shows up after consent, see Cookie consent.
  • If your site sends a Content-Security-Policy header, allow https://ottoai.sk in it, as shown in Content-Security-Policy.
  • In the browser console (F12), look for messages starting with [Otto]. They tell you what the chat is missing.
  • Still nothing? Write to us at podpora@ottoai.sk and include your website address.

Removing the chat

Ask eBRÁNA support to remove the chat code. If you added the chat through Google Tag Manager, delete the tag and publish the container.
