Mozello

Where to add the Otto chat code on a Mozello website, how to check that it runs, and what to do when it does not show.

On this page

Mozello is a website and online store builder with an editor in the browser. You add the chat code to the site header in the general settings. It takes about 5 minutes.

What you need

  • An Otto account. You find the chat code in the panel under Overview, on the Installation & integrations card, on the Mozello tile. It is under the More platforms tile, and you can also search for it.
  • Access to the editor of your Mozello website.

Chat code

On the Mozello tile, click Copy code. You get one line with your company’s public key:

<script async src="https://ottoai.sk/widget.js" data-otto-key="pk_vas_kluc"></script>
The sample shows pk_vas_kluc instead of a key, the tile gives you the code with your own key. The key is not a password, you do not need to hide it. Add the code once, it covers the whole site.

Adding the code

  1. In the Mozello editor, click Settings and then General settings.
  2. Open the Code section.
  3. Paste the chat code into Additional HTML code for HEAD section.
  4. Save the changes.
The chat links itself to the address where it first shows. It does not move from an address ending in .mozellosite.com to your own domain by itself, so add the code after you connect your own domain.
The Mozello pricing page lists access to HTML code on all plans. If you cannot see the header code field on the free plan, switch to a Premium plan or ask Mozello support.

You can also follow the official Mozello help.

Checking it works

  1. Open your website in a new browser window and reload. A chat bubble should pop up in the bottom right.
  2. Send the chat a test question. Otto answers within a few seconds.
  3. In the panel, under Settings, Connections, the Your website row shows the domain the chat runs on.
The chat may not show in the editor. Check it on the published site on your own domain.

Product catalogue

Mozello says it offers a product feed for Facebook and Instagram ads. A feed for Heureka or Zboží is not among its integrations. If you cannot find a feed address, turn on I have no XML feed, let Otto read my site in Settings, under Catalogue.

Troubleshooting

I cannot see the header code field

Mozello may not offer it on the free plan. Switch to a Premium plan or ask Mozello support whether your plan has it.

The chat runs on the .mozellosite.com address but not on my domain

Otto linked itself to the address where it first showed and does not move from a Mozello address to your own domain by itself. Contact us.

The chat shows on one page only

The code was probably added to a text block on that page. Remove it there and add it in the general settings, in the header HTML code field.

Also check

  • Reload the page without cache with Ctrl+F5, or open it in a private window.
  • The code should be on the page only once, a second copy is ignored.
  • A cookie consent bar can block scripts until the visitor agrees. If the chat only shows up after consent, see Cookie consent.
  • If your site sends a Content-Security-Policy header, allow https://ottoai.sk in it, as shown in Content-Security-Policy.
  • In the browser console (F12), look for messages starting with [Otto]. They tell you what the chat is missing.
  • Still nothing? Write to us at podpora@ottoai.sk and include your website address.

Removing the chat

In Settings, General settings, Code, delete the chat code from Additional HTML code for HEAD section and save the changes.
